Dear Everybody,

Can you believe it! This June Slaysh will be celebrating its five year anniversary. This is a very exciting time for my husband Matt and I, as well as my staff, friends and family who have been around to help Slaysh hit this milestone. I most definitely can’t forget that it is also because of you and your support that I have made it this far with Slaysh. Whether you were one of our first customers on June 1st, 2007 or if you have just discovered the shop, I can’t thank you enough for helping me live out my dream.

After working in the fashion industry for a handful of years I opened the doors to my very own store right here in the Glebe. As you may know Slaysh has evolved and morphed over the last 5 years into what it is today. By no means was this journey easy and it wouldn’t be honest to forget about all the challenges and tears that have made Slaysh (and me) what it is today. In hindsight I know that each hurdle had its reason in order to get to this point. The journey that has landed Slaysh where it is today has contributed to the look and feel of the shop. It has given me the privilege of working with such amazing people and the opportunity to get to know so many of you who have shopped and supported my dream.

Five years down and many more exciting years to come. I am pumped up for June as we have some interesting things to share with you. Slaysh has teamed up with six Canadian designers, Raised by Wolves, Uranium, Duffield Design, Geoff Gibson, Steve St-Pierre and Love Jules to collaborate on an exclusive collection. We will be launching our Collaboration line on June 16th with an event and show by The Love Machine. I am so very thankful for your continued support; I seriously couldn’t do it without you.

Matt and I met when we were 16. We got married 7 years later. Got a dog named Floyd. Opened a store and then forgot to take pictures of ourselves. This is why I don’t have a cute family portrait of Matt, Floyd and I to share with you.
