SUIT UP BOYS

There is just something about a suit.

Coming from a girl, it is true, a man in a suit looks powerful, confident and put together. It is for that reason I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring the WeSC suit into the shop.

I can tell you how to get the perfect cuff in your chinos to wear with your new boots or what sweater you should wear over that button up but I don’t know the first think about suits. For that I will direct you boys to GQ. Here are a few of the most important fit tips.

Shoulders:
The shoulder pads should not protrude beyond your shoulders. Shoulder pads will never make up for missed gym sessions, you can’t fool anyone by beefing up on the padding.

Chest:
You should be able to comfortably do up your front buttons, but not too comfortably. You don’t want to leave more than a fist’s worth of space in the front.

Length:
When your arms are hanging straight down you should be able to fold your finger tips under the side of your suit jacket. I have to point out that this rule can be bent. Shorter style jackets don’t conform to this rule, however make sure your sleeves aren’t longer then the body of the jacket. I can picture that gorilla looking jacket right now, it would be weird.
