#NYFW: TO THE STREETS

Fall is in the air and while everyone in New York has their eyes set on the catwalks to see what’s happening for next Spring, I find my self much more interested in what everyone is wearing while waiting for the show to start… even more so in what those people are wearing who aren’t even actually attending the show.

The concept of ‘street style’photography has exploded over the past few years and is a seemingly more advanced form of people watching as far as I’m concerned. I love the idea of a photographer walking the streets of a city, capturing people out and about who also just happen to be impeccably dressed. Anything more then that and it starts to leave an artificial taste in your mouth. That said, it goes without saying that those hanging out around a fashion show are dressed, well, like it’s a fashion show. Creativity knows no bounds when it comes to dressing to stand out in this crowd. To warm up here is a look at a few great styles that have been captured on the streets of New York this past week, as the temperatures have been dropping south of the border it should provide you with some inspired layering looks applicable to our fair city.
