Last fall I travelled to Europe with my partner in crime to taste some delicious beers and do some exploring. Because of the way in which we opted to travel, space was limited which meant I couldn’t bring my entire shoe collection… it’s not as extensive as you might think. Getting to the point, I brought a pair of waxed grey Gravis Avalon’s and boy did I live in them.

These shoes survived my trip in fine form,  I am still able to enjoy them which is saying something. These things took a beating. They were supportive, comfortable and  best of all the Avalon easily transitioned between my dirty gypsy days in Germany whilst still allowing me to look put together amidst the citizens of Lausanne, Switzerland.   

All of this to say that if you are looking for a comfortable shoe that does actually provide some sort of function, Gravis may be for you!
