I’m by no means an art connoisseur but I have come to recognize a few names. It is through my love of fashion that I have discovered the world of art. Fashion prints as well as snowboard and skateboard graphics are often influenced by art. One artist that has been mimicked many times is Jean-Michel Basquiat. Basquiat was an American artist who began his career as a graffiti artist in New York City in the late 70s and evolved into an acclaimed artist by the 80s.

The reason that I felt the urge to share my very little knowledge of art is because we just received a fall shipment of Insight women’s and one of my favorite shirts reminded me so much of a Basquiat masterpiece. Whether this was the intention of the Insight design team or not it is still a piece of clothing that will turn heads on the street.
