My name is Calum Green. I’m a graphic designer and co-owner of Raised by Wolves (which is a proudly-Canadian streetwear brand).
WHERE IS RAISED BY WOLVES BASED OUT OF?
Raised by Wolves was founded in Ottawa, but as of July we’ll be based solely out of Montreal.
YOU GUYS DO SOME INCREDIBLE COLLABORATIONS WITH AN ARRAY OF TALENTED COMPANIES. HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHO TO WORK WITH?
In general, I’d say we strive to work with brands and/or individuals who excel at what they do in a market separate from ours. Cross-market collaborations are always the most interesting to me, because both parties get the opportunity to work on something completely new and the results are usually pretty interesting.
WHERE DO YOU DRAW YOUR INSPIRATION?
I get inspired on the daily by my surroundings, but in terms of design and fashion, I really appreciate timelessness and subtle imperfections. A weathered, hand-painted sign with kind of poor typography or a really worn-out pair of jeans. If there was quality to begin with, these things will only look better with time.
WHAT’S BEEN PLAYING IN YOUR HEADPHONES LATELY?
Cold Warps, Smith Westerns, Dr. Dog, East Village Radio and The Rub’s History of Hip-Hop (late-80s).
WHAT SHOULD WE LOOK FORWARD TO IN THE FUTURE FROM RAISED BY WOLVES?

WHY WORK WITH SLAYSH?
Slaysh has been very supportive since they picked us up a few years ago so we wanted to return the favour. They’re good people and we’re down to support local. Congrats Slaysh and all the best in the next 5 years!
