Today is so hot all I can think about is sitting on a boat and wakeboarding with my friends.

Last summer Slaysh team rider Erika Langman went to Wakestock to showcase her skills despite the fact that there was no pro women’s category. This summer the category was re-added to the three day festival and Erika was hungry for the belt. Erika battled it out with the likes of American pro Melissa Marquardt and fellow Canadian Leslie Sparkes. In the end Erika ended up finishing second and walked away with her first ever Wakestock belt.

On Saturday July 24th the Slaysh team and staff got together to celebrate the stores third anniversary with a day of skateboarding, snowboarding, and wakeboarding. We setup the mini ramp, shoveled a snowboard jib and had a wakeboard boat at our disposal. For some team members it was their first time trying a new board sport while others tried to do all three board sports in one day.

Slaysh team member Jordan Gibson-Fraser makes an appearance in the upcoming video "Look on the Bright Side" by Voleurz. Judging by this teaser he should have a pretty sick part.
