CU ski and snowboard club
Submitted by Andy Marr on Mon, 03/14/2011 - 23:18So winter has been pretty busy which has resulted in not hitting as much street and all that as I would have liked. And helping run this club at Carleton is one of the main things taking up all my time....
Not all that bad I suppose, we still have a few trips left, and Jib Test on the 25th of March, come join us.
Cbus Has Old Fashion Good Time at Tremblant
Submitted by Andy Marr on Fri, 01/28/2011 - 01:54Friends at the Carleton Ski and Snowboard Club having a good time on the slopes set to some good time music. This is from back at the start of the season, but expect to see a lot more where this came from very soon! The club heads up to Tremblant every Sunday, and just started having weekly jib sessions on Fridays on Carleton Campus.

SlayshBlade (aka the new K2 SlayBlade)
Submitted by Andy Marr on Mon, 12/14/2009 - 18:16New board for the winter is what I like the call the Slaysh Blade with Auto bindings. It is a second board so I won't be using it for park, but for carving up corduroy or laying out fresh pow lines out here in Fernie, BC it is pretty amazing. They have moulded carbon into the fibreglass and added carbon forks in the tip and tail which make it an extremely responsive, kicky and lively board. And with the flatline base you get the floaty forgiving feeling of a rocker without losing too much edge hold. Having 3 layers of HarshMellow is also nice for those hard landings. And the cantered foot beds in the Auto bindings let you really push your stance out without twisting your ankles too much.
