We decided to showcase some looks with the new Zanerobe harem pant, to give you guys some ideas on how to stylize, and wear these bad boys out and about. Obviously this style of pant is more of a dressed up sweat, so why not play with some pieces, so one can transition the look from casual to a little more fancy. We love the printed button up Malibu Zanerobe shirt with the contrast of the fitted harem pant, and low top sneaks are a staple with these pants, NO flip flops. This pant is a happy medium for those sweatpant bros, and a new favourite for the dressed up dudes.
What started out as a casual bet that two friends could make better clothes then “that guy over there” was wearing turned into the unique fashion label Zanerobe. The name stems from the the combination of “Zane” a name one of the founders wanted to be called as a kid and “garde robe” the French term referring to a piece of furniture that houses clothing.
I came across Zanerobe when I was visiting Australia this past February. The brand’s styling definitely stood out among the other Aussie brands. The Sureshot pant was a style I haven’t seen in numbers on this side of the world and I loved the elasticized waist, slim leg and elastic cuff. This pant, although unique, is easy to sneak into your already existing, on the safe side wardrobe. The pant pairs well with bare feet and a low profile shoe for summer or your favorite pair of boots come fall. The tee shirt bodies are very noteworthy in Australian style, longer in the back, asymmetrical seams and open necklines, all details that make these designs not just your basic tee.
Upon arriving home and fighting the jet lag Zanerobe disappeared into the back of my brain with the feeling of warm sunshine and incredible days of surfing. A few months ago a very stylish friend from NYC also mentioned his love for Zanerobe and this prompted me to search them out and bring the line to all of you. Hope you enjoy the clever, bold designs of Zanerobe as much as I do.
